3.They ask you to overpay for items you can buy anywhere – Vases, oils, flowers, candles are things that can be bought from any supplier. If you are asked to pay $1,000 for any of those, you may be in for a big scam.
4.They ask for material things as payment for their service – If a psychic asks that you pay him or her with your car in exchange for ridding you of bad spirits, it’s a bad sign. You can get psychic readings for much less than the value of your car.
5.They ask you to invest a huge sum in their services now so you can gain it all back in the future– This is typical not just of a psychic scam, but for all sorts of fraud. Some fraudulent psychics have asked that their clients provide them with a stipend so they can do extensive work of making that person rich. People who fall into this trap usually end up losing a lot of money that never really returns to them.
6.If it feels like extortion, it probably is – If you feel that you are being forced to give money for things that you don’t really need, simply stop. When a psychic tells you that you need to pay him or her repeatedly to ward evil spirits away or to avoid coming across bad luck, that’s a form of intimidation.
Many psychics are truly gifted, but those that are not tend to try to get from you what they can. When looking for a psychic reading, check out those that are tried and tested or have good reputations.
