Even if you’re not a Chinese, is it okay to believe in Chinese Zodiac Signs?

Absolutely yes, there’s nothing wrong about that. Believing is nothing like excluding any aspects of the culture. As long as you have the strong beliefs on what you ought to believe. It has no problem either way whether you’re a Chinese an American or not.

[Via Wikipedia] The Sheng xiao better known as Chinese Zodiac, are 12 animals which are representative of years in some East Asian countries. Each year of the 12-year cycle is named after one of the original 12 animals. Each animal has a different personality and different characteristics.

The “zodiac” in “Chinese zodiac” hearkens back to the original Greek, meaning “having to do with animals,” and refers to a pure calendrical cycle, with no equivalent constellations; it is not a cultural equivalent of the occidental zodiac, which divides the ecliptic into equal periods named after nearby constellations (of which many but not all are animals), despite both being circles of twelve units.
