Fraudulent Psychics Being Searched Police
Psychics are everywhere. In fact, in many countries and cities, one could see stalls of psychics offering numerology readings, astrology readings, horoscopes, and even dream interpretations. However, it should not lead people to believe that all of these are genuine and true. This is because many have fallen victims to unscrupulous schemes of people who simply want to strip people off their money by claiming to be psychics.
And just recently, there is a group of psychics who have defrauded at least four people amounting to $500,000 which is the reason why the Sydney Police are looking for them.
According to accounts, the group is composed of two men and two women who have been advertising their psychic reading services. A woman called “Nina” has been doing the advertising in local newspapers. These people, after earning some clients, ask their customers for their possessions saying that they have to obey in order to cleanse themselves from curses.
As if that was not enough, the group would even tell their clients that even the cash in their bank accounts also need cleansing. And so, these clients give up even their cash. This is according to Jim Stewart, a detective inspector.
“They take that money and take it away from the victim with the agreement that money will be returned to the person once it’s been cleansed. The person returns in five or six days and obviously the money is not there. These people are preying on people who have a depression problem, a family problem, and they say they can fix it for them and that’s how they get sucked in,” he said.
