GhoStock 7: The Paranormal Affair
Dozens of witches, ghost hunters, psychics and enthusiasts of the paranormal convened in Salem last week for a four-day affair. GhoStock, now in its 7th year, ran from April 16th to the 19th.
This unique paranormal conference has secured the permission of dozens of different properties for attendees to investigate. The event is hosted by Patrick Burns of Tru TV and Court TVs investigative series “Haunting Evidence.”
“This will mark the first time GhoStock has been held in Salem. We’re looking forward to bringing our event to the ‘Witch City’” says the organizer. The first six GhoStock conventions have taken place in Savannah, Georgia.
Guest speaker included John Zaffis, a noted authority on demonic possessions and malevolent hauntings; Christian Day, a renowned Salem witch and psychic; Gavin Cromwell, resident psychic on “Hollywood New England” as well as host of “Absolute Psychic”; Keith Age, founder and director of Louisville Ghost Hunters Society and host of Sci-Fi channel’s “Spooked”; Shannon Sylvia, investigator on the television documentary series “Ghost Hunters International”; David Shrader, host of “Darkness Radio”; Fiona Broome, author, psychic medium, paranormal investigator and paragenealogist; Marley Gibson, author, paranormal investigator and featured guest on A&E’s “My Ghost Story”; Father Andrew Calder, paranormal investigator and Episcopalian minister; Bob Hunnicutt, founder of the Georgia Ghost Society; Bill Chappel, electronics engineer and inventor of “Ovilus” and “Paranormal Puck”; and Patrick Burns himself.
The event also includes book launches. The highlight, of course, is the opportunity to participate in actual paranormal investigations. Guests are divided into small teams to conduct private investigations. Their findings are review during the conference. Locations include local hot spots like the Hawthorne Hotel’s basement.
