New Telepathy Experiment Yield Positive Results
A group at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences in Bangalore, India has done a new experiment that looks for evidence of the occurrence of telepathy in one’s brain. The result has been published in the International Journal of Yoga.
The experiment made use of an fMRI scanner in order to measure brain activity. The tool measured the haemodynamic response related to neural activity that occurs in the brain or spinal cord of animals and humans. This is considered as one of the newest forms of neuroimaging.
In the experiment, a famous “mentalist” was examined by the Indian team while he was performing a telepathic task in the scanner. A control subject was also examined under the same conditions; only this time, without his special ability.
A “significant activation of the right parahippocampal gyrus after successful performance of a telepathic task” was demonstrated by the mentalist in the person of Mr. Gerard Senehi.
“The comparison subject, who did not show any telepathic ability, demonstrated significant activation of the left inferior frontal gyrus,” was stated by the experimenters.
The report said that “to our knowledge, this is the first fMRI study to examine the brain correlates of telepathy. Previous studies have employed other functional brain mapping techniques. In our study, telepathy was associated with significant activation of the right parahippocampal gyrus; whereas the control subject without telepathic ability, activated the left inferior frontal gyrus under similar task conditions.”
“The findings of this study are suggestive of a limbic basis for telepathy and warrant further systematic research,” was the conclusion of the report.
This is another finding that will strengthen the truth about psychics and psychic abilities. In this new age, things of the past like the belief in psychics can be helpful in the different aspects of people’s lives.
