Psychic Threatened, Attacked in Connecticut
Greenwich, Connecticut — With the psychic business booming during recession, competition is becoming cut-throat. A local psychic in Greenwich says someone is trying to drive her out of her business. Psychic Janet Lee was taken to the hospital late Friday night after being beaten by a man outside her office at 16 Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich. The attack left her with a black eye and a cut on her face.
Earlier this week, the psychic reported to Norwalk police (where she holds another office) that a woman has left her several threatening phone messages. In one of the messages the woman said, “This town is not big enough for the two of us. We want you to take down your sign,” said Lee.
In another message, the woman described the psychic’s son, the car he was driving and the school where he was taking a summer program.
“They never said they were going to hurt me, they kept saying, get out of town or else,” says Lee. “It is difficult for me to comment on what is going on. I do not know what is going on.”
The attack happened on Friday night, when a man started hitting Lee with his fists saying he would kill her. Police were later called to interview a woman at Greenwich Hospital who said she was attacked outside 16 Greenwich Ave.
Lee is a psychic based in Norwalk for eight years, she has also been practicing this craft in Greenwich for 10 years. She says that she heard of another psychic planning to enter into the are, but does not know who it is.
