Psychics and Show Business a Good Match
It looks like a good year for psychics. While most have reported booming business in the face of financial crisis, independent psychics aren’t the only ones coming across good fortune.
The movie and arts industry has also taken a liking to psychics. Two new films – Race to Witch Mountain and Push – have made it to the big screen. Both deal with extraordinary powers.
In Broadway, lights are on for Blithe Spirit – a remake of the Noel Coward comedy. Initial reviews of the play make it out to be a hit with an all-star cast including Angela Lansbury, Rupert Everette, Christine Ebersole and Jayne Atkinson. The play is directed by Michael Blakemore.
TV is also looking like a good spot for psychics. A casting call has been released by the producers of “Ghost Hunters.” They are seeking a young, edgy, female psychic medium or sensitive for a new, unscripted TV pilot. The chosen psychic will be joining a team of mediums to investigate sites of paranormal activity. Filming happens in the last two weeks of April. Casting call runs from March 17, 2009 to April 7, 2009.
According to the ad, the psychic must be outgoing, comfortable in front of the camera, must have a youthful and edgy style and can communicate thoughts and feelings ware. The call is for those located anywhere in the US but must be available to travel anywhere during filming.
